Scooby Doodles team at the redecorated Kids Lids library. Any creatives willing to spruce up the big peoples library?

A local resident, Anne Stearman along with the Majura Men’s Shed have created a two tiered library- for big people at the top and for little people a three part drawer system at the bottom for ease of access- now beautifully decorated by the kids from Scoobydoodles. The “Lil Library” is to be found attached to the Bicentennial “pergola” with the clock on top. BTW- The library has turned around the corner and is now facing the cool south.
Similar to other community libraries books can be taken away and returned, or if kept, can be replaced with another book.

Justice of the Peace

A JP is in attendance at Dickson Library between 11am and 1pm each Friday.

Scouts

Well Station Scout Group is now operating out of the Scout Hall on the corner of Melba and Bonython Streets. We have space for new youth members and adult members.

Our Sections run at the following times through the week:

Joeys (5-7years) – Monday 6pm -7pm
Cubs (7-11) – Tuesday 6:30 – 8pm
Cubs (7-11) – Wednesday 6:30 – 8pm
Scouts (12-15) – Thursday 6:30 – 8:30pm

Children who attend Downer Preschool do NOT automatically have to attend Lyneham Primary after completing preschool.

Children in Downer have priority enrolment at either Majura or Lyneham Primary Schools.
