DCA “Grants”

To encourage Downer residents to do good things in Downer and make Downer and even better place to live, the DCA is offering the opportunity for Downer folk to come up with projects- environmental (eg. growing things), educational (offering to run a course on something using our community centre), social (having a park gathering, a market at the Square, some music event…)

We are offering up to $2,000 to help in such activities/undertakings- reimbursed.  You need to spend the money and then get the money back.

FLORIADE BULB PLANTING

You are invited to join in the annual community planting of Floriade bulbs and annuals at the Downer Centre on –
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 JUNE from 10am
The Downer Community Association has the wasteland of a verge to transform into a delight of Floriade spring bulbs.
So please come and join us for the big planting. Bring a small trowel, gloves and dress for the weather and the job (a bit muddy!)
Start at 10am, finish when you have had enough. Grab yourself a free hot beverage from Gang Gang, as the DCA’s ‘thank you’.
